Coming back to the surface. Update almost ready!

I’m putting the finishing touches on the underworld update, which I expect to release any day this week if work allows. I will still have a lot of work in small patches following that, with some exciting new mechanics – but let’s go over the things I’ve done this last week. Supporters have already seen some of these updates so this should get everyone else up to speed:

  • 10 different gems can be obtained from Crystal Rock which gets easier to find the lower you go.
  • Treasure Chests that can contain any item in the game including some that you aren’t able to craft.
  • Healing Pools which dry up after so many uses.
  • Slime NPC with the split ability.
  • Added shadows under all the cave walls.
  • Fixed bugs related to stacking interactive objects.
  • Made it so cave walls can ‘cave in’ or grow to fill in empty space.
  • Added the Altar which has various effects.
  • Goblin NPC with the steal ability.
  • Added a movement speed penalty to heavy and medium armors.
  • High level NPC with the summon ability.
  • Certain lower HP objects like signs and furniture will no longer decay.
  • Tribe towers can be destroyed.

Oh and a sneak peek at the underworld survival guide: You don’t. Well maybe not until I tune things and add more healing options to survive the lower levels at least 🙂

Now I need to smooth out some movement lag, fix bugs, and stall for no reason. More to come.
