Thank you for testing! Ideas for the future.

Testing yesterday went awesome. We had over 10 people running around trying to figure out the world. Many bases popped up and there is still much to discover.

I received some feedback but please post suggestions in the forums. There was a total of 1 server crash due to an odd mechanic with fire. There needs to be smarter spawns since at least one person started stranded on a small island. I noticed some sneaky bugs with chat bubbles, shields, and tabbing. I’ll make reconnecting more graceful. Some numbers need to be balanced with various game mechanics.

People were so nice it confirms that I will have to add a special npc antagonist. An intelligent creature that can pick up and use items.. and hunt players down. Maybe they will have their own little base?

Some new interactive items would be fun like an upgraded fire or ‘fire pit’ that can be reactivated with some fuel. Maybe beds for faster regen? Pressure plates that activate gates or spike traps?

An improved way to /build things would be nice. Maybe a dialog box can pop up and visually show some items. Or I can do something with recipes. Many items were left undiscovered, which is fun but perhaps a mechanic could be added that will let players discover the ingredients needed for mystery items. I don’t think anyone has even discovered how to make dyes or copper yet!

Anyways the possibilities are endless. I have to catch up on some other work but will keep the server up for now and try to find time to work on new additions. I also have to think about whether this game will have seasons or just ongoing objectives. The stability is better than expected so I’ll probably do some advertising in the near future.
